Like the fender telecaster and the vox ac 30 These instruments try as others may cannot be equaled let alone betered. I only have a Hammond t200 but with a voce spin 2 it's as good as I will get on my budget. The hammond will live forever

Great video ! What would Jazz and 60s / 70s music be without the Hammond ? And people like Peanut (though I personally dislike that music) prove that the Hammond is a timeless piece of music history even today. Long live the tonewheel Hammonds ! Got a very nice 1962 C3 myself and I use it with my Blues band every day. God bless Laurens Hammond for that important invention !!!

I'm a little disappointed that Joey DeFrancesco wasn't in there.

Its from the BBC's archive and not commercially available - but luckily for you there is MUCH better US footage of Jimmy Smith in 1962 on 'Jazz Scene USA'...its available on DVD...get on Ebay!

Does anybody know where I could find a copy of that video of Jimmy Smith playing "The Sermon"?

Yep, the L 100 is smaller and sounds a little thinner than a B3/C3/A100. A B3 would be too heavy to wrestle with and the person who tries would probably end up with the legs of the B3 and his own legs broken. Not recommendable...

Ice Rink Organs - Cheesy, we had a great organist at Birmingham Silver Blades Ice Rink - played great Jazz and Blues. Unfortunately it's no longer there.. It's in my living room!

That's good to know. It would really be a shame to waste an organ gig after gig.

Keith Emerson didn't thrash it completely, the roadie fixed it after every night, so it is the same organ...
